Maybe this pub wasn't right for us or maybe it could just be a bit better. Didn't have all the feels for us, and the menu didn't excite. It was busy on a Tuesday lunchtime, so obviously doing something right. The burger looked great, we'd give it another try

This was my first visit having driven past the place for years on the A40 between the Stow junction and Burford. I took my son and his girlfriend out to lunch as a thank you for inviting me a few days earlier. The Inn is a quintessential 16C coach house built from cotswold stone with well attended gardens to the front side and rear, it is very easy to drive to and has ample parking to both sides and infront. We were given a warm welcome by the barman and chose a large round table in the corner of one of the spacious dining rooms, just by a window looking out across the fields. The service was excellent and prompt and the menu extensive. We ordered our food which consisted of a Blue cheese souffle, The homemade cheese burger and a pork belly on a bed of aromatic mustard mash served with crispy kale and apple. The barman asked if we wanted a garlic bread whilst we waited for our food to be cooked so we ordered a portion of 4 pieces of garlic bread with lashings of melted cheese which was meticulously presented with a rocket garnish. The food was absolutely top notch i had the soufflé and also tried some of my sons pork belly. they were both first class. I will definitely be returning with other guests and will probably make this my goto place of choice to entertain.

Went there for dinner and had a delicious meal. Order stake and it was amazing, exactly how I like it. The place was full so I sat in the library, which was nice and quiet. Servers was professional and efficient. Will be back!!!

Handy location about 30 mins to Blenheim Palace. Easy to get to Bourton on the water. Really comfy beds, fortunately no memory foam mattress. Good breakfast and evening meal choices. Easy to park.

Had a lovely overnight stay with my wife. Dinner was lovely, the room really nice and warm with a comfy bed - all the amenities required too. Breakfast in the morning was good. No complaints, and was great to stay in a warm, historic, genuinely traditional Cotswold hotel, which isn't pretentious or gentrified place with lovely staff and which attracts the locals!

Eddy the Manager, couldn't be more helpful, with his great service and chat, we called him steady Eddy. Joseph was a whirlwind of service one evening, a busy night, again great service and chat. Young lady ( sorry didn't catch her name) very sweet. Great food, thanks chefs. They do baked beans if you ask, even if not on the menu. Ask they are very helpful. A great little find, last minute for us for a couple of nights, great pictures for sale inside, lovely areas downstairs and a great garden.our visit was for a relatives funeral and we stayed a few extra days.

We came across this restaurant by chance on our way back to the apartment and it turned out to be a real highlight of our trip. The place is warm and cosy, the service was excellent, and the food was absolutely the best we had during our stay in the Cotswolds. We would happily come back — highly recommended!

We stayed here with our campervan through Britstops. Great location, food is incredible, especially breakfast which was incredible. Eddy and team are so welcoming and helpful. Very dog friendly, great selection of beers, we would definately visit and stay here again.
